He grew up in the Lamont/Arvin area with his two brothers, Dewayne and Larry Turner, sister, Wanda Rice. Lee was preceded in death by his father, Argus D. Turner and survived by his mother, Media Turner, wife, Carole; three children, Nancy, Darryl and Michael Turner, three grandchildren, David, Brianna and Kristopher Turner. Lee attended Arvin High School where he was active in sports. He was a member of the high schools football and baseball teams as well as President of the Athletic Association. He moved to Stockton in 1959 to work for Stockton Box, later American Forest Products where he worked for 15 years. In Stockton he met and married Carol Louise Stamps, his wife of 43 years. In 1976, together with George Stanley they started Stockton Wholesale Lumber, their business still thrives today thanks to hard working, dedicated longtime employees and the lifelong friendships made among people in the lumber industry. His hobbies included golf, hunting and fishing which he shared with his family and friends. No funeral services will be held, in lieu of flowers, remembrances can be made to your favorite charity in Lees name. Additional Comments: Volunteer submission - No relation to deceased.
