Services: Mon., Aug., 2, 10 a.m.

Services will be held at Greenlawn Southwest Memorial Chapel, 2739 Panama Ln., 
Monday, August 2, at 10:00 a.m., for Mildred Z. Polston, 84, who passed away 
July 29, 2004, in a local hospital. 

Mildred was born September 10, 1919 in Blackwell, Oklahoma and resided in Kern 
County for 68 years. She was a cook for the Bakersfield City Schools for ten 
years. 

Mildred is survived by her son, Gary Polston; daughters, Pat Sanders, Florine 
Canode and Joan Abernathy; daughter-in-law, Janice Polston; 2 brothers; 3 
sisters; 16 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-
grandchildren.

Visitation begins Sunday, August 1, at noon.
