Pastor Dianne Eller will officiate. Military Rites will follow. Bill, born in Portland, Oregon, had recently moved back to Bakersfield. Upon his graduation from college, Bill was employed as a pharmacist and a sales rep for Merick and Co. He was a veteran serving as a 1st Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Air Corps. Bill was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and a life member of both the Elks Lodge and VFW Post 6601. Bill loved to travel with his family, read, plan trips and really enjoyed the followship of people. Those surviving Bill include his wife, Carolyn; his daughters, Anne Peper, Catherine Paddock and husband, Gary; grandchildren, Tanya Nousch and husband, Eric, Bryan Paddock, Carrey Hardwell and husband, Micah; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Ethan and Morgan Nousch; a stepson, Dean Reed and wife, Terri; stepson- in-law, Don Allendorf; stepgrandchildren, Aaron Allendorf, Vittoria Mills, Heather Reed, Jamie Montgomery and several stepgreat-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by stepdaughter, Linda Allendorf. Donations in Bills honor may be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church 2525 Belle Terrace, Bakersfield, CA 93304.
