Alfonso G. Alderete
The Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m., Sunday, August 1, at Hopson-Anspach 
Family Mortuary-Bakersfield. The Mass of the Christian Burial will be said at 
9:00 a.m., on Monday, August 2, 2004 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Burial 
will follow at Union Cemetery. Casketbearers include Bob Garcia, Tony Herrera, 
Anthony Alderete, Ray Mora, Andres Alderete and Miguel Alderete. Honorary 
pallbearers include Marisa Deutsch, Javier Alderete, Marco Alderete, Paul 
Alderete, Rebecca Fuller and Martin Alderete.

Mr. Alderete, born in Jalisco, Mexico had resided in Kern County for 89 years. 
He was owner of Alderete Paint Body for 40 years and was a lifetime member of 
the Knights of Columbus and the Young Mens Institute. 

His surviving family members include his sons, Patrick Alderete and wife, 
Juanita, Gerald Alderete and wife, Mary; daughter, Susan Deutsch and husband, 
George, all of Bakersfield; 8 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 4 great- 
great-grandchildren; sisters, Carmen Santibanez, Marcelina Gonzales and Mary 
Lou Alderete, all of Bakersfield; brother, Samuel Alderete of Maine.
