Concepcion (JR) Gomez 
Services: Wed, July 13, 10:30 a.m. 

Concepcion JR Gomez of Bakersfield died, as most people knew him helping 
others. Rosary for JR Gomez will be held at 7:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Southwest 
Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, July 13, 2005. A Funeral Mass will be Thursday, 
July 14, at 10:30 a.m., at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, with interment 
following at Greenlawn Southwest Memorial Park. JR was born and resided in 
Bakersfield. He was currently employed by North Kern Prison and recently 
promoted to Material and Store Supervisor. He is survived by his wife, Nancy 
of 21 years; daughters, Natalie 18 and Jacyln 9; son, Vincent 13; parents, 
Mary and Jose Concepcion Gomez; brothers, Barbaro, Jesse and Ricardo; sister, 
Rosie. JRs greatest pleasure was fishing, collecting spiders, bones, and 
working on his yard. His number one priority was his family and he worked hard 
to provide for them. His yard was his pride and joy and most recently mastered 
barbequeing. His biggest enjoyment was being outdoors and entertaining his 
family, friends, and neighbors and smoking his cigars. JR was a jokester, 
fisherman and he will be greatly missed by all who came in contact with him. 
He has left many memories for all of us to enjoy and remember him by. In lieu 
of flowers donations can be made to Kern Schools Federal Credit Union Account 
#4125240, Gomez Children.
