Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Dema Goodman and his brother, Larry Goodman. He leaves behind a loving family, his daughter and son-in-law, Teri and Terry Walker; his son and daughter-in-law, John and Venus Goodman; his grandchildren, Anthony Walker, Nathan Goodman, Cody Goodman and Blaze Goodman. He also leaves behind the mother of his children, Linda Gaither (Goodman). He has also left behind his wonderful and loving brothers and sister, Don and Libby Goodman of San Diego, Wes and Nancy Goodman, Barbara and Sonny Johnson, Bob and Jan Goodman of San Diego, Jerry and Alice Goodman and Jimmy Goodman and Liz Torres, and many loving and caring nieces and nephews. Richard worked as a security guard at M&S Securities for the last three years. He loved his job and the people he worked with. He had been retired from the oilfields for over 30 years. One of his favorite pastimes was going to San Diego to visit his brothers and family. He loved NASCAR, Keno and the Giants and was looking forward to baseball season starting. Richard loved to debate and looked forward to a good argument, where he usually got the last word. He had an honery and catankerous spirit that people looked forward to, all the time knowing the sweetheart he really was. Richard had the heart of a giant and will be forever missed, never forgotten. Viewing for Richard will be Today from 5-8 p.m. (Tuesday), and a Memorial Service will be on Wednesday, March 23, 2005, at 10:00 a.m., in the Chapel of Kern River Family Mortuary, 1900 N.
