Mary Ellen Hunt 
Nov. 8, 1921 - June 1, 2005 

Services: Tues., June 7, 2:30 p.m. 

Mary Ellen Hunt joined the Lord on June 1, 2005, at the age of 83. She loved 
children, playing games of any kind, crossword puzzles and eating anything 
sweet (especially chocolate covered cherries). Raised during the Depression in 
a very poor family she always had a soft spot for those in need. Mary was born 
in Scammon, Kansas, to Clifford and Ethel Graham, the 9th of 13 children. She 
was raised in Iowa and moved to California as a teenager and was a longtime 
resident of Bakersfield. She was a homemaker and had her own upholstery shop. 
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, James R. Williams and 
Thomas Floyd Hunt, five brothers, four sisters and one grandson. She is 
survived by brother, Clifford Graham; sisters, Phyllis Van Hyfte and Treva 
Reid; son, Thomas Floyd Hunt Jr. and his wife, Sally; daughters, Sharon Irving 
and her husband, John, Lolly Craig and her fiancé, Joe Bertao, Mary Louise 
Brower and her husband, Cliff, Karen Haislip and her husband, Royce; fifteen 
grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, a large extended family and many 
friends. Visitation will be held Monday, June 6, 2005, from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m., 
at Greenlawn Southwest Mortuary. Graveside services will be Tuesday, June 7, 
2005, at 2:30 p.m. Mary is loved and will be greatly missed by all.
