A visitation will be Tuesday, March 29th from 4 to 8 p.m. at Mish Funeral Home, 120 Minner Ave., Oildale. Ginny and Laney are preceded in death by their grandparents, Floyd and Mary Gregory. Mother and child are survived by husband/father, Michael "Mike"; children/siblings, Colton 9 and Harlee 8; parents/grandparents, Ron and Dixie Gregory; sister/aunt, Mary Ann Brown and husband, Kyle; in-laws/grandparents, Jerry and Gloria Johnson; sister-in-law/aunt, Amanda and husband, Max Mullen; best friend, Anna Leon and family. Numerous aunts, uncles and cousins will also miss them. Born in Bakersfield, Ginny attended Elementary and Jr. High at Rosedale School. She graduated from Bakersfield High School in 1993. Shortly after graduating Ginny and Mike married. She loved her job as a bus driver for Rosedale School District. Ginny was very involved in her childrens activities. She wa also a room mother in their classrooms. One of Ginnys favorite hobbies was riding and showing her horses. Ginnys goal in life was to be the best wife and mother possible. She loved her children more than life. Laney was a beautiful, sweet little girl. She adored her brother and sister and loved to spend time with them. Laneys favorite things to do were attend preschool, gymnastics and riding horses with her Papa. Laney was a spunky little girl who loved My Little Pony and had recently picked out her own decorations for her room. She chose purple paint, butterfly border and a My Little Pony conforter. She will be missed by all. Honoring Ginny and Laney will be the following pallbearers: John Leon Jr., Max Mullen, Chuck Thompson, Johnny Thompson, Larry Kirkendall and Eddie Gafner. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Kirkendall, Roger Ott, James Loubey and Aaron Richardson. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Johnson Childrens Education Fund at Safe-1 Credit Union, in the name of Ginny Johnson, 400 Oak St., Bakersfield, CA 93304.
