William Jake Grider 
July 29, 1951 - August 4, 2005 

Graveside services will be held at Greenlawn Cemetery on Monday, August 8, 
2005, at 11:00 a.m., for William Jake Grider, who was born July 29, 1951, in 
Bakersfield, CA, the eldest son of Ooley and Elsie Grider. Jake attended 
school at Bakersfield High School and Bakersfield College. Jakes greatest 
loves were his wife Sue and performing his country music before a live 
audience. He was one of Willie Nelsons greatest fans and had Willies sound 
down to perfection. Jake is survived by his loving wife, Sue; his children, 
Blake and Dana Grider; his stepchildren, Stephanie Garland and husband, Mitch, 
Nicholas Gatti and wife, Patrice; his brother, Jerry Grider and wife, Nancy; 
his sisters, Betty Dunlap and husband, James, Beverly Hunt and husband, Chris, 
and Janette Melendez and husband, Jack; his only grandchild, Gavin Garland, 
many nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, and many friends, too many to mention. 
And of course, his beloved guitar, Pearl. Jake was loved by all who knew him 
and will be deeply missed.
