Lynne was born September 7, 1944 in Lafayette, Indiana and recently reconnected with an old school chum there (isnt the internet wonderful!). Her family moved to Riverside, California and there she attended school, graduating from Polytechnic High School in 1962. Lynne attended her 40-year high school reunion a few years ago and was thrilled to reconnect with a few friends like Susan and Mary, whom shed thought about for years. She also spent time with her oldest and dearest friend, Linda. In 1974, Lynne moved to Bakersfield and married Bill. They both worked in the oil industry for years, Lynne at Tosco from 1975 to 1985 and Bill at Corco. In 1987, Lynne went to work for The Bakersfield Californian. During her 16 years with The Californian, she met so many wonderful people and remained friends with several you know who you are. Recently, Lynne went back to work for Hall Ambulance; thank you for giving her that second chance at a productive lifestyle she so craved. Lynne will always be remembered for her devotion to family, Pepsi-holic years, addiction to Survivor and reality-TV, love of all things chocolate and coffee-stuff, bridge playing days, amazingly thick, long and beautiful hair, being a mental traveler, time on the volleyball court, dance floor moves and love of music, moo-moos and best, for her wonderful laugh. Lynne is preceded in death by her parents, grandparents and her ex- husband, Albert; and is survived by her husband of 31 years, Bill; her children, Debra and Brian; stepdaughter, Erin; granddaughters, Sarah and Brittany; brothers, Charles, Chris, Scott and Sky and their families; sister- in-law, Terri and her family and many friends who will miss her dearly. Lynnes family is forever grateful to the many family members and friends who offered their kind support during these last difficult months and to Janis, her best friend, who was with her through the very end. Shes not really gone; shes just out shopping and having the next grand adventure. In the end, were all just stardust anyway, she would say. No services, no flowers, just happy thoughts were her wishes. Legacy.com Published in the Bakersfield Californian on 10/2/2005. Additional Comments: Volunteer submission - No relation to deceased.
