John Charles Heckert 
Services: Thurs., Dec. 1, 10:00 a.m. 

There will be a viewing for John Charles Heckert on November 30, 2005, from 4-
8 p.m., at Kern River Family Mortuary, 1900 N. Chester Ave., Bakersfield, CA. 
Funeral services will be held on December 1, 2005, at Greenlawn Cemetery, 3700 
River Blvd., Bakersfield, CA, at 10:00 a.m. He was born in Williamsport, 
Pennsylvania on September 24, 1955 and died on November 24, 2005, in 
Bakersfield, CA. He attended Williamsport Area High School, Pennsylvania and 
graduated in 1974. He was a Truck Driver for over thirty years. He worked at 
Stone Container, in Williamsport, PA and Beacon Container in Montoursville, 
PA. The last few years he worked at the Pactiv Corporation Plant, in 
Bakersfield, CA, as a Jockey, moving empty and loaded trailers for C.P.S. 
Express, Mira Loma, CA. He enjoyed his faith in Christ and loved the lay 
ministry. Every opportunity he had he ministered to others. John was always 
the fix-it man at home and work. He loved working on cars and other projects. 
John is survived by his wife of 31 years, Teresa Heckert. He is also survived 
by four children, Jason Heckert, Tina Klawitter, Tammy Harman and Jessica 
Heckert; 7 grandchildren, Isaiah Heckert, Anthony Klawitter, Rene Klawitter, 
Allan Heckert, Jasmine Harman, Audrey Harman and Lilly Harman. He is also 
survived by his parents, Daniel W. Heckert, Sr. and Margarite Heckert; and two 
brothers, Daniel W. Heckert, Jr. and Russell Heckert.
