Carl was born on August 4, 1927, in Bristow, Oklahoma. While serving in the U.S. Army Carl met the apple of his eye Clara Mae Thomas. Carl and Clara spent 56 loving years of marriage together. Carl follows his love, Clara, into the afterlife to spend eternal peace in the company of her embrace. Carl attended the Church of Christ in Delano, California. He supported his family by working for the Kern County Roads Department. Carl retired after 33 years of service. Carl spent his life as a dedicated husband, supportive father, grandfather and a compassionate friend. The footprints left behind in his life has inspired all who were touched by Carls gift of unconditional love. Carl is survived by his son, Michael Hendrickson; daughter-in-law, Kimela Hendrickson; his two grandsons, Matthew and Marshall Hendrickson; granddaughter-in-law, Megan Hendrickson; his two sisters, Lorene Sudaria and Louise White; brother-in-law, Connie White; and his loving nieces and nephews. Memorial will be held on Thursday, October 20, 2005, at Kern River Family Mortuary, 1900 North Chester Ave., 11:00 a.m. A viewing will be held prior to the memorial 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., the memorial service will be closed casket. The family of Carl Hendrickson wish to thank all whom have provided their support through this difficult time.
