John Winston Henson Jr.

Nov. 14, 2005

On Nov. 14, 2005, John Winston Henson Jr. owner and publisher of the Hilltop 
Shopper News and Hilltop Welcoming Service, passed away at his home. After a 
long battle with cancer he is now at peace. There will be an informal 
gathering open to anyone who wishes to come at Cattleman's Bar & Grille, in 
the bar, on Saturday, Nov. 19, at 2 p.m.

To send flowers please have them sent to Cattleman's Bar & Grille, 480 Steuber 
Road, where the gathering will take place. Be sure to tell them the gathering 
is 2 p.m. on Saturday so they aren't delivered too soon.

To send a donation, make it out to the American Cancer Society. Either call 1-
800-227-2345 or mail a check/money order to: American Cancer Society, 1523 
California Avenue, Bakersfield, CA 93304. Be sure to tell them or include a 
note that says it's in the memory of John Winston Henson, Jr. They'll need our 
address as well: Claudia Henson, PO Box 964, Tehachapi, CA 93561.

The upcoming Shopper News issue of Nov. 14 will be skipped. We will resume our 
normal publishing schedule starting Dec. 2. The deadline will be Nov. 25. 

As most of you may know, we are a family business and as such the office will 
be closed this week in memory of John, our loving husband and father.
