Jose "Chepe" Cervantes Herrera 
Jan. 7, 1933 - Mar. 20, 2006 

Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. on Thursday, March 23, 2006, at Hopson-
Anspach Family Mortuary Chapel in Lamont. A Wake is scheduled for Thursday, 
March 23, 2006, 7 PM, at Hopson-Anspach Chapel in Lamont with services Friday, 
March 24, 2006, 10 AM, at Hopson-Anspach Chapel in Lamont. Interment 
immediately following at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Bakersfield. Pallbearers 
will be Johnny Herrera, Jesse Herrera, Sammy Herrera, Jr., Jonathan Herrera, 
John S. Perez, Jr., III and Joel Pichardo. Jose was born January 7, 1933, in 
Austin, Texas to Ines and Mary Herrera. Among Chepe's enjoyments in life was 
BBQ'ing and spending time with his friends at the park. Being with family was 
very important to Jose. Jose "Chepe" is preceded in death by his brother, 
Jesus "Chuy" Herrera. He is survived by his brothers, Refugio Herrera, Bennie 
Herrera, Sammy Herrera, Ines Herrera, Julio Muniz and Abel Muniz; sisters, 
Dina Pichardo, Rachel Chavez, Esther Killian, Rebecca Avila and many loving 
nieces and nephews.
