Robert H. Hollister 
Services: Sat., Sept. 17, 10:30 a.m. 

Memorial services will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Chapel, 3700 River Blvd., 
for Robert H. Hollister who departed this world on September 10, 2005. He was 
born on a Kansas farm in 1926. After graduation from Toronto, Kansas, high 
school he served in the USN on active duty through WWII. He joined the U.S. 
National Guard in Emporia, KS and graduated from Emporia State University in 
1951. His military service continued in the U.S. National Guard in Kansas, 
Texas, and California through 1964, where he served as Chief Warrant Officer. 
In his civilian career he was a salesman in Kansas, Texas, and California, in 
the carpet industry. He was active in sales, design, and manufacturing. Most 
recently he became the Western United States representative for the major U.S. 
manufacturer of artificial turf, a vocation which occupied his professional 
life literally till his dying day. Robert is survived by Dana, his wife of 53 
years; sister, Flo of Toronto, KS; son, Ripley and daughter-in-law, Norma of 
Colorado Springs, CO; and three wonderful grandchildren, Bethany, Justin and 
Noelle. No visitation. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers, donations may 
be made in Robert H. Hollisters name to the City of Hope,1500 E. Duarte Rd., 
Duarte, CA 91010.
