Visitation will be 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, January 29, 2006. An hour 
of meditation will be held tonight from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., in the Chapel 
of Jesse E. Cooley, Jr. Funeral Service, 1100 Chester Ave. Funeral services 
are scheduled Monday, January 30, 2006, 10:00 a.m., at Trinity Temple 
C.O.G.I.C., 1018 O Street. Elder James M. Shaw of Long Beach, California 
officiating with interment immediately following in Union Cemetery. Katherine 
Christine Hopkins, 84, departed this life on Wednesday, January 25, 2006, at 
the California Care Center, in Bakersfield, California. Mrs. Hopkins leaves to 
cherish her memory two daughters, Mae L. Trice and husband, John, and Edith H. 
Sims, all of Bakersfield, CA; two sons, Atty. Joe C. Hopkins and wife, Ruthie 
of Altadena, CA, and Albert Hopkins Jr., College Professor, and wife, Cindy of 
Palo Alto, CA; one brother, James Shaw of Long Beach, CA; one sister, Ruth of 
Oxnard, CA; ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren and a host of 
relatives and friends. Jesse E. Cooley, Jr. Funeral Service
