Pastor Duane Meadors will officiate. Mr. Horsley was born on November 18, 1924, in Pontiac, Michigan and resided in Kern County for 60 years. He worked for the City of Bakersfield for 27 years. He also served with the United States Marines during World War II and was awarded the Purple Heart. Mr. Horsley was preceded in death by his wife, Lila Reed Horsley in 1996. He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Lawrence Geye of Bakersfield and Janet and Casey Stewart of Santa Rosa; grandsons, Dannie Jones of Bakersfield and Stephen Barber of Santa Rosa; granddaughter, Leisa Gray of Santa Rosa; great-granddaughter, Jessica Cantwell of Santa Rosa and sister, Milldred Stenger of Michigan and his dog, Trixi.
