He was preceded in death by his father, Matthew B. Hothersall, his maternal grandmother, Madeline Nichols and his paternal grandparents, aunts and uncles. He also is survived by his sister, Janet M. Eagan of Sacramento who helped in his care during his illness, his brother-in-law, Terrence M. Eagan and his nephews, Matthew and Evan. He leaves a group of cherished friends including Cari Spring, his former wife of Catalina, AZ and her daughter, Aubrey; Mike Herrick of Bozeman, MT; Ben Stinson and William R. Go of Bakersfield; Larry Pearson of Wasco and Othel Pearson of Troy, MT. Jim grew up in Wasco. He graduated from St. Johns School, Wasco High School and Porterville Junior College. He attended Sacramento State College as a Physical Education Major. Jim was a Certified Massage Therapist, Clinical Ayurvedic Specialist and Pancha Karma Specialist. He was a graduate of the Massage Training Institute of Bakersfield and the California College of Ayurveda in Grass Valley. He most recently passed the National Certification Examination, becoming Nationally Certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCTMB). We thank the Hoffman Hospice dedicated team, especially Janie, in their efforts to keep Jim comfortable. It would have been impossible to manage his care without hospice. May Jim find the peace he was seeking. According to his wishes Jims ashes will be scattered in beautiful places in California, Arizona and Montana.
