She was blessed to have remained with us for 96 years. A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, October 8, 2005, at 10:00 a.m., at Pleasant View Missionary Baptist Church, 700 South Haley Street. Pastor Tim Grays is officiating with interment to follow at Union Cemetery. Essie was born July 14, 1909, in Kaskiusco, Mississippi. She was married to Sam Hubbard who preceded her in death. Essie was a dedicated housewife who raised a daughter, Geneva Spears-Lewis; grandsons, Sammie Lee Butler and Syron Butler; and a nephews, Elmo Roby. Essie Lee Hubbard will be remembered as a very caring individual that loved children. She never hesitated to help people in need. She will be sincerely missed by all who knew and loved her.
