Gertrude Agnes Hodge 
Services: Fri., Sept. 2, 11:00 a.m. 

Born in Bakersfield on October 11, 1916, passed away peacefully in Walnut 
Creek on July 31, 2005, at the age of 88. Preceded in death by her loving and 
faithful husband, Roy, in April, 2005. Married 64 years, Gertrude leaves 
daughters, Sandy (Lew) Dickey, Susan (George) Hansen and son, Larry Hodge; 
granddaughters, Alyse (Derek) Zahnd and Angela Dickey and four great-
grandchildren. Gertrude and Roy met and married while working for the Kern Co. 
Fire Dept. Gertrude worked part-time at the Tax Collector's office while 
raising her family. As a woman of great faith, her loving heart, gentle ways. 
and unlimited patience were a blessing to all. Family and friends are invited 
to attend the graveside service and memorial for Gertrude and Roy on Friday, 
September 2, 2005, at 11:00 a.m. at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 3700 River Blvd.
