Glen R. Hoff 
Mar. 13, 1927 - Sept. 2, 2005 

Graveside funeral services will be held in the West Side District Cemetery on 
Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. for Taft resident, Glen R. Hoff, 78. Mr. Hoff 
was born in Bakersfield on March 13, 1927 and passed away in Bakersfield on 
September 2, 2005. He proudly served his country as a member of the Merchant 
Marines. Mr. Hoff moved to Taft in 1947 and was a member of the American 
Legion Fellows Post. He worked many years in the oil fields before going to 
work for the West Side Recreation & Parks District. He retired from the 
District as a Park Director in 1989. He was preceded in death by his parents, 
Frank and Rytie Hoff and his brother, Russell Hoff. His survivors include his 
wife of 56 years, Norma Hoff of Taft; his daughters and their husbands, Linda 
and Harvey Spencer of Bakersfield and Connie and Steve Roberts of Taft; his 
grandchildren and their spouses, Chad and Laticia Roberts, Danna and Christian 
Mejia of Bakersfield, Jill and T.C. Laffoon of Visalia and Stacy and Thomas 
McClendon of Bakersfield and his great-grandchildren, Cain and Ethan Roberts 
and Paige McClendon. Friends are invited to pay their respects on Tuesday from 
3:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and again on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 12 noon at the 
Erickson & Brown Funeral Home.
