Leroy Holder (Cowboy) 
August 8, 1943 - August 23, 2005 

Visitation for Leroy Holder will be held at Basham Funeral Care (3312 Niles 
St.) on Sunday, August 28, 2005 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. and a graveside service 
will be held at Greenlawn Cemetery on Monday morning, August 29, 2005 at 10:00 
a.m. Pastor Tom Touchstone of Valley Bible Church will officiate. Leroy Holder 
was born in Modesto, California on August 8, 1943 to Buck and Violet Holder; 
and he went home to be with our Lord on Tuesday, August 23, 2005 in 
Bakersfield, California with his family by his side. Leroy was preceded in 
death by his parents and is survived by 3 children, James Holder, Randy 
Holder, and Sandra Holder; 9 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren; brothers 
and sisters-in-law, Frankie and Joe Ann Holder; Roger and Diane Holder; Dean 
and Shannon Holder; sister, Pat Wilfong; numerous other family members and 
many friends. Leroy grew up in Bakersfield becoming a cowboy and loving the 
Rodeo. He competed in Team Pinning and the Ride and Shoot competitions. He 
loved fancy horses, country music, shooting pool, gambling, fast cars, 
motorcycles and women. He was the owner-operator of Superior Air Conditioning 
for 17 years. He was a loving and caring father, grandfather and friend to 
many. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him. For additional service or
