"Joe" 1936 - 2006 Joseph M. Incardone (Joe) April 25, 1936 - Jan. 6, 2006 Services: Tues., Jan. 10, 2006 at Hillcrest Memorial Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Joe was born to John and Mary Incardone in Rochester, NY on April 25, 1936. He spent his first 8 years in Rochester and then relocated to Southern California with his parents and brother. He is survived by his mother, Mary Incardone of Corona, his wife, Barbara Apsit-Incardone of Bakersfield; son Michael Incardone and wife Pam of Huntington Beach; daughters Melodi Nantes of Lakewood, and Shauna Barnhardt and husband Marcus of Huntington Beach; grandchildren, Dawn Nantes, Brett Incardone, and Destany Churchwell. Joe is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Joe was also much-loved by his brother and sister-in-law David and Jan Nicholas, stepchildren Andrew Apsit and wife Diana, Christopher Apsit and wife Melissa, Allison Scoggins and husband Jon; and six stepchildren: Tyler Apsit, Ashley Apsit, Zach Upshaw, Peter and Evan Apsit, and Payson Scoggins, all of Bakersfield. He spent the majority of his career in the oil production business, which brought him to Bakersfield in 1983. In Joes second career, he worked for the past 18 years as a Real Estate Agent for Coldwell Banker America West. Recently, his wife Barbara joined him as his business partner, and they enjoyed working together. Joe was well-respected by his colleagues and clients for his integrity and candor. Joe loved the Los Angeles Angels, golfing and bowling. He enjoyed his Elks membership and time spent at the lodge with the boys. He fought a long and hard battle with bladder, liver and bone cancer. Joe had a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and is now experiencing the peaceful, joyful, sinless, and painless eternal life in heaven. There will be a viewing at Hillcrest Mortuary on January 9, 2006 from 4-8pm, and a celebration of life service will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Chapel at 11:00 am on January 10, 2006. The family would like to thank all of the Hoffman Hospice staff who gave exceptional care to Joe over the last 5 months. Joe especially enjoyed Angelo, Janice, and Will for the love they shared with him during each visit. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hoffman Hospice of Bakersfield.
