David was a great-grandson of Christian Bohna, the first settler in what was later to become Bakersfield. Christian Bohna sold out to Col. Baker the founder of the city. David Jameson is survived by two children, Joel Jameson of PaloAlto, CA and Carolyn Jameson of Santa Monica, CA.His wife, Gilka predeceased him in 2004. He is survived by a sister, Muriel Brouwer of Medford, OR, a brother, Roderick Jameson of Glenville, CA and a brother, Donald Jameson of Medford, OR. David graduated from Bakersfield High School in 1934 and later graduated from the University of Oregon. He had graduate degrees from Vanderbilt and St. Louis Universities and worked for thirty-four years for the Monterey County Health Department.
