Bennett "Butch" Ray Johnson, Jr. 
January 21, 1963 - May 10, 2005

Memorial services will be held on Friday, May 13, at 3:00 p.m. in Greenlawn 
Memorial Chapel, 3700 River Blvd., for our loving son, husband, father, and 
friend, Bennett Ray Johnson, Jr., who passed away May 10, 2005. 

Butch was born in Bakersfield, CA on January 21, 1963 to Ray and Patty 
Johnson. He graduated from West High School and continued his education at 
Bakersfield College. He was a member of the 1980 West High Valley Championship 
Football Team and the 1981 Bakersfield College Renegade, Potato Bowl 
Championship Team.

Butch was preceded in death by his mother Patty. He is survived by his father, 
Ray and wife, Darlene; Butchs wife, Tammi and their children, Cassandra, 
Robert and Bennett; his sister, Kelly and his many dear and loyal friends.

Bennett was the love and enjoyment of Butchs life. Butch loved and cherished 
his time with his son. Just last week he was on a class field trip at CALM and 
was witnessed relishing in the excitement of being with his son and seeing the 
joy of exploration through his eyes. Butch loved life and lived life to its 
fullest. He was loved by all who knew him. He had a special place in the 
hearts of all. Butch was an incredibly courageous and strong man who overcame 
many of lifes obstacles. He will be truly missed.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
