Evelyn Roland

Graveside services for Evelyn Roland will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, 
June 9, 2005 at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Bakersfield. Visitation will be 
Wednesday from 4 to 8 pm at Hillcrest Mortuary. Evelyn was born on September 
25, 1910 in Point, TX and passed away on Sunday, June 05, 2005 at the Delta 
Rehab Hospital in Visalia, CA. She was 94 years old. Evelyn married Clarence 
Roland in Shamrock, TX on November 19, 1932, they moved to Arvin, CA in April 
of 1942 where they raised their family of 4 boys. They moved from Arvin to 
Bakersfield in 1975 when Clarence retired, she then moved to Visalia in March 
2003. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Clarence and 
their son Bobby Dean Roland. Survivors are her sons, Thomas Roland and wife 
Lillian of Visalia, Orvel Roland and wife Ann of Oildale, Leslie Roland and 
wife Bonnie of Bakersfield; sister Onetta Bowen of Flowermound, TX; brother 
Charles (Chuck) Johnson of Groveland, CA; 13 grandchildren, 29 great-
grandchildren, 3 great- great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
