J.C. (JAY) Jolliff 
August 15, 1922 - August 4, 2005 
Services: Mon., Aug. 8, 1:00 p.m. 

Funeral services for 82 year old J.C. (Jay) Jolliff of Bakersfield, California 
will be held Monday, August 8, 2005, at 1:00 p.m., at the Hillcrest Mortuary 
Chapel, 9101 Kern Canyon Rd. Visitation will be held Sunday, August 7, 2005, 
from 3-5 p.m. also at Hillcrest. Jay was born on August 15, 1922, in Kennett, 
Missouri. He married his childhood sweetheart, Helen Stover on October 14, 
1939. He proudly served his country during World War II as a member of the 
Army tank core, stationed in the South Pacific. In 1949, Jay relocated his 
family to Bakersfield, CA and began building houses in 1957. Jay attended 
Christ Cathedral and more recently First Assembly of God. He is preceded in 
death by his wife of 64 years Helen. He leaves two sons and their wives, Terry 
and Audrey Eloise Jolliff, and Richard and Vickie Jolliff; 3 grandsons and 
wives, Christopher and Darcy, Jeffrey and Taryn and Joseph; one sister, 
Scottie Jolliff Earls of Branson, Missouri; sister-in-law, Katie Cox Jolliff 
of Kennett, Missouri and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. In lieu of 
flowers, please send donations to Fist Assembly of God, 4901 California Ave.,
