Russell (Bud) Keim 
May 4, 1917 - January 13, 2006 

Russell "Bud" Keim was born on May 4, 1917 in Elkhart, Indiana to George and 
Nona Keim and passed away on January 13, 2006 in Bakersfield with his family 
by his side. Bud worked for 27 years in the Aircraft Industry as an 
Aeronautical Engineer. He was involved with the Bakersfield Sundowner's Travel 
Group, Bakersfield Family Medical Center, Gleaners and San Diego Aeronautical 
Museum. Bud had a passion to gain knowledge. He loved sharing facts along with 
his wisdom with families and friends. He mastered crossword puzzles and had 
memorized and recited poems and scripture verses. He was an avid traveler 
having traveled all 50 states and 4 continents. Bud is survived by his loving 
wife of 65 years, Louise Keim; daughters, Judy Watkins and husband, Tom, 
Janice Larabee and husband, Jim, and Joan Parks; seven grandchildren and seven 
great-grandchildren. A special thanks to Dr. Ju Huan Lee of Bakersfield Family 
Medical Center, Nurse Alice Bender and Chaplin Bob Winter of Optimal Hospice, 
Caregivers Danelle, Aaron, and Eva, and Pastors Roger Poppen and Tim Hardy of 
Laurelglen Bible Church. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on 
Friday, January 20, 2006, at Laurelglen Bible Church. In lieu of flowers, 
donations may be made to Laurelglen Bible Church.
