Wayne was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on February 4, 1940. He was a resident of Bakersfield for the past 33 years. On November 9, 2005 he lost his battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Linda and his five children, Paul, John and wife, Julie, David from Bakersfield, and David and Terry from Texas. He is also survived by his eleven grandchildren; his sister, Sandy (Joe) Hawkins; his brothers, Rocky and John from Bakersfield, and his brothers and sisters, Cindy James, Neva Price, Sharlon Alberta, Terrell and Devlin Bullock from Texas. He is preceded in death by parents, Dyald and Maudie King and Ohnley Bullock; his brother Alton King. He worked at Instant Storage/Jaco Oil as a Truck Driver for the past 15 years. He was passionate about his work, and made so many good friends with the people he worked with. He was always able however, to play as hard as he worked, as family and friends will attest. He loved to camp, fish and travel with family. Although he was a tough guy in appearance, he had such a great heart, and loved more than anything in this world, his wife Linda. He was known as MacGyver around his house, because there wasnt anything he couldnt make or fix. He always had time to help a friend, work for his family, or play with his grandchildren. Wayne will be greatly missed by those of us lucky enough to have had him as part of our lives, but will be in our hearts forever. Legacy.com Published in the Bakersfield Californian on 11/13/2005.
