Kline, James "Jimmy"     
1970 - 2005 
 
James “Jimmy” Kline, age 35, of Bakersfield, CA, died suddenly and 
unexpectedly at his home on Friday, September 23, 2005. Jimmy was born on 
March 19, 1970 in Bakersfield, CA; James was the son of Ron and Deborah Kline. 
He was united in marriage on November 23, 1991 to Dawn Michelle Dowell. Jimmy 
was a Crane Operator for Lufkin Industries for the last seven years and had 
recently gone back to school. Jimmy and his son were in the process of 
restoring a 1972 Chevy pickup truck. He really enjoyed camping, going to the 
beach, fishing, hunting, golfing, and going to the Okie bowl, but the one 
thing he loved the most was spending time with his wife and three children. 
Jimmy is survived by his wife, Dawn; his son, James Jr.; his daughters, Jordan 
and Samantha; his dad, Ron Kline; his mother, Deborah Kline; his sister, 
Karrie (Jack) Vandigriff; his sister, Ronda Kline; his brother, Tom (Janell) 
Minor; his grandparents, Jim and Evelyn Weaver; his grandfather, Paul McGrath; 
his father-in-law, Larry Dowell; his mother-in-law Clede Dowell; his sisters-
in-law, Rita (Timothy) Crigler and Dinah Harter; his brother-in-law, Gary 
Dowell; his nieces, Karissa, Danielle, Lisa, Abby, and Alyssa; his nephews, 
Jacob, Andrew, Garrison, Justin, Christopher, Derek, Beuu and Anthony; his 
honorary daughters, Carley and Shelley and numerous family members and 
friends. Funeral services for Jimmy will take place at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, 
September 30, 2005, at the Greenlawn Southwest Mortuary and Cemetery, 2739 
Panama Lane, Bakersfield, CA, 834-8820.
