John Edward Keff Jr. (Ed) 
6/21/1922 - 5/28/2005 

John Edward Ed Keff Jr. died May 28, 2005, at Pikes Peak Hospice, in Colorado. 
Born June 21, 1922, in New Orleans, LA to John Edward and Grace Keff. In WWII, 
he received a Purple Heart in the Battle of Leyte Gulf. Ed graduated from 
Tulane University with a Mechanical Engineering degree. In 1951, he started 
his oil field career in Ventura, CA. In 1960 Ed was promoted to Getty Oil Co. 
East Area Supt. In the San Joaquin Valley. For his contribution to the 
companys success in Thermal Recovery, he was honored by the Getty Oil Co. 
President. In 1969 Ed was promoted to District Manager of the San Joaquin 
Valley. In 1972 Ed joined the International Division, as its Div. Production 
Manager. He remained in the Intl Division until his retirement. Ed devoted 29 
years to Alcoholics Anonymous. He was an inspiration to many. He was preceded 
in death by his first wife, Gwin, his sister, Ruth and his parents. He is 
survived by his children, Christine, Karl and Jane and granddaughter, Jessica 
and his wife, Kathryn and six stepchildren. A Private service was held in 
Monument, CO.
