Kelley May 29, 1929 - April 6, 2005 Our beloved husband, father and grandfather went to be with the Lord on April 6, 2005. He was born on May 29, 1929 to D.C. and Laura Kelley in Montebello, CA. Married Barbara Wright in June 1947. They moved to Bakersfield with their family in 1960, where he was owner operator of Kern River Saw Works for over 20 years and was active in the community coaching NOR Baseball for ten years. He became a member of the Church of Christ on Weedpatch Highway and in 1963, Phil and several other brethren started the congregation that now meets at 2215 Planz Road, where he was a member for over 40 years. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Barbara; his children, David and Donna Kelley of Tampa, Florida, Mike and Jeanette Kelley of Tehachapi, Kathy and Michael Fox of Auburn; seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; his sisters, Virginia and Nolan Young and Kathryn Ford. Funeral services were conducted by Hopson-Anspach Family Mortuary of Bakersfield. The family wishes to Thank Dr. Riggs, the Optimal Hospice Nurses, Mary, Yvonne, Tracy and the other caring Hospice volunteers.
