Cecil Allen “Al” Kephart
Aug. 8, 1934 – June 16, 2005

Tehachapi resident Cecil Allen “Al” Kephart, 70, passed away on June 16 in a 
Bakersfield hospital.

Al was born Aug. 8, 1934, in Vermillion, S.D. to Kermit and Mary Kephart. He 
served in the United States Coast Guard from 1952 to 1956. Al was a self-
employed handyman for 20 years. He moved to the Tehachapi area in 1995.

Al is survived by his brothers, Garth Woodgrift of Tehachapi, William A. 
Kephart and wife Sharon of Tuscon, Ariz., and Les Kephart and wife Anita of 
Vermillion, S.D.

There will be no service per his wishes.

Wood Family Funeral Service handled the cremation arrangements.
