Margaret Kitts 
Services: Sun., Sept. 11, 5:00 p.m. 

Margaret Nichols Kitts, 89, died peacefully in her sleep on July 26, 2005, at 
the Wood River Nursing Center, in Bensalem, PA. Born in Sedgwick, Colorado, 
Marty spent the greater part of her life in Bakersfield, CA where she was an 
elementary school teacher and reading specialist for thirty-two years in the 
Fruitvale School District. Following her retirement, she moved to Bucks 
County, PA where she lived for the past twenty-two years. Widow of the late W. 
Raymond Kitts, she is survived by her son, the Rev. Stephen L. Kitts and 
daughter-in-law, Rosemary Murphy Kitts of Yardley, PA; 4 grandchildren, 
Stephen Raymond Kitts of Brooklyn, NY, and Emilie Crosby Kitts of New York 
City, Kathryn and Elizabeth Kitts of Yardley, PA. She was pre-deceased by her 
parents, Nellie Beavers and Waldo Nichols and her only sister, Gertrude 
Nichols Johnston. Marty was a former member and Deacon of the First 
Presbyterian Church of Bakersfield, CA, and was affiliated with several 
professional and community organizations. A memorial service will be held 
Sunday, September 11, 2005, at 5:00 p.m., at the M. William Murphy Funeral 
Home, 935 Parkway Ave., Ewing, New Jersey. M. William Murphy Funeral Home
