Edith Knox Jones
Services: Wed., May 4, 11:00 a.m.

Edith Knox Jones, age 82, of Cleveland, TN and a former resident of Athens, TN 
and of the Marshall Hill Community near Niota died Saturday at Erlanger 
Hospital. 

A native of Monroe County, TN, she was a daughter of the late Willie L. and 
Ollie Jane Carter Knox. She is preceded in death by a brother, Herbert Knox. 
She was a member of the Marshall Hill Baptist Church and was a caregiver for 
many. Surviving is her husband, James W. Jones of Cleveland, TN; one daughter 
and son-in-law, Martha Jane and John Robinson of Bakersfield, CA; four sons 
and daughter-in-law, Loyd Jones of Las Vegas, Nevada, Gary Jones of Mohave 
Valley, Arizona, Howard Jones of Las Vegas, Nevada and David and Karen Jones 
of Cleveland, TN; twelve grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; one 
sister, Grace Farmer of Cleveland, TN; and one brother, Ernest Knox of 
Bakersfield, CA.

Funeral service will be Wednesday, May 4, 2005, at 11:00 a.m., in the Chapel 
of Jerry Smith Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Davis officiating. Burial will 
follow at Niota Cemetery. The body will be in state at the funeral home after 
2:00 p.m., Tuesday, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 
p.m.
