He grew up in Bakersfield, graduated from KCUHS in 1949, and attended BC before enlisting in the U.S. Navy and serving in the Korean War. As a resident of Glennville, CA for the last 31 years he enjoyed life in the mountains. He was proceeded in death by his parents; wife, Delores; sisters, Pauline Crouse and Rose Zey Dow. He is survived by his daughters and their husbands, Karen and Michael Hatfield, Lisa and Joe York; 4 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sister, Florence Dillow and husband Gene; Aunt Opal Smith; cousins; nieces and nephews; as well as special friends Gail Buntley and the Carver Bowen family. A friend to all who knew him, he was special in so many ways to so many people. He will be greatly missed but we are all richer for having had him in our lives.
