Lupe S. Kovachny 
September 8, 1938 - July 29,2005 

Visitation for Lupe S. Kovachny will be held at Basham Funeral Care (3312 
Niles St.) on Tuesday, August 2, 2005 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. and funeral 
services will be held in the Basham Funeral Care Chapel on Wednesday, August 
3, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Roger Bernal of the Asian Seventh-Day Adventist 
Church will officiate. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery. Lupe was 
born to Elogio San Miguel and Soledad Hernandez San Miguel on September 8, 
1938 in East Bakersfield, California, and she went home to be with the Lord on 
Friday, July 29, 2005 with her family by her side. Lupe attended local schools 
in Bakersfield. Lupe worked at Brocks/Gottschalks for many years where she met 
and married Kody Kovachny. Lupe is preceded in death by her parents and oldest 
brother, Henry J. San Miguel; and she is survived by her husband of 27 years 
Kody Kovachny; her brothers, Richard, Paul, Louie, John and Manuel; her 
sisters, Petra, Helen, and Vera; special sister-in-law, Helen Markle; special 
daughter, Pat; and granddaughter, Nicole and her son, Roman; numerous nieces, 
nephews, other family members and friends. Lupe was a loving and caring wife, 
mother and grandmother. She was a wonderful human being who will be deeply 
missed by all that knew her. For additional service or floral delivery
