LaCiura March 27, 1929 – Dec. 7, 2005 Devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, Charlyn M. LaCiura, 76, passed into her new life in heaven on *Tuesday morning, Dec. 7. She was the finest wife and mother that a family could ever have. Her life focused on the care and well-being of others whose needs were always more important than her own. Despite illness that rendered her frail and in great discomfort, she never failed to think of her family’s needs before her own, even up to the hour of her passing. She will be greatly missed by all she knew and loved. A native of Los Angeles, Charlyn and her husband, Peter, loved their peaceful home in Stallion Springs where they have many close friends. Charlyn is survived by her husband Peter; sons Paul and Mark; daughter Nahid; granddaughter Sarah; brother James Merlo; sisters Jacquelyn Unitt and JoAnn Luchetta and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial mass of joyful celebration of the life of this dedicated woman will be held at St. Malachy Catholic Church, located at 407 W. E St., on Thursday, Dec. 15, at 10 a.m. All are welcome to attend. Wood Family Funeral Service handled the arrangements.
