A young man with an idea of his future with responsibilities, heartache, stress, and maybe a family of his own. Instead you left us at the age of 19. A very young man with few responsibilities, very little heartache and no stress. Looking back your life was so full. I would never change a thing about our lives together. You were the child but you taught so much at how to look at others and acceptance. There are so many things that have happened over the last year. Aunt Sandy got her picture in the paper because of her fundraising for her illness, ALS. I told her there are now 2 stars in our family, you and her. I know you were there walking along side us to help with the cause. We are all very proud of her. Melissa and Ernie are walking down the aisle in November. After 5 years together they have already been to hell and back so they decided to take the plunge. We know you will be there in spirit as you always are. A lot of your guys are standing in for them because they mean so much to us and it will be like you are there. Ricki is the only one we have left and getting that one down the aisle might be a chore. She reminds me a lot of you with her laughter. She keeps us busy with the volleyball and you would be so proud of her on the court. She is playing your alma mater, Highland, today. A birthday present from her brother? Erika and Anthony are on their 5th year of marriage. I know, everyone is a little amazed! There arent many that can keep up with her but he has done a wonderful job. Starting to think they are made for each other or you needed a good laugh every day. Kayla is playing volleyball and Chad is playing every sport known to man. They are always talking about their Uncle Richard. They love you so much without ever having met you. Your guys are playing basketball under your name Peeps Players. I dont think there is a day that goes by that they dont think about you. They have added so much to our lives and we have you to thank for that. You have incredible friends. Keep Grandma in your sights and watch over her. She misses you and Kelly so very much. Give Kelly, Giggy, Papa, Grandpa and Uncle Donnie hugs and kisses. Well see you all again someday. Love You, Dad, Mom, Erika, Anthony, Melissa, Ernie, Ricki, Kayla and Chad Legacy.com Published in the Bakersfield Californian on 10/6/2005.
