John Henry Lemucchi (Hank) 
Services: Mon., Nov. 28, 11:00 a.m. 

Graveside funeral service will be held in the West Side District Cemetery on 
Monday morning at 11:00 a.m., for longtime Taft resident John Henry Hank 
Lemucchi, 88. Rev. Msgr. Loydell J. Marth, pastor of St. Marys Catholic Church 
will officiate. Mr. Lemucchi was born in Bettaravia on August 26, 1917 and 
passed away in Bakersfield on November 22, 2005. He had lived in Taft for the 
last 65 years. Mr. Lemucchi had been employed by Standard Oil Company until 
1968 when he purchased the Union 76 service station on Center Street. He 
operated that station until 1974 when he moved to the Union 76 station on Kern 
Street. He operated that station until his retirement in 1988. Mr. Lemucchi 
was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his two 
daughters, Janise Lynn Lemucchi and Karen Johnson. His survivors include his 
wife of 64 years, Memory Lemucchi of Taft; his son and his wife, Jeff and 
Monda Lemucchi of Bakersfield and his two granddaughters, Angi Lemucchi of San 
Diego and Kim Lemucchi of Los Angeles. Friends are invited to pay their 
respects on Sunday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., at the Erickson & Brown 
Funeral Home, 765-4111.
