She was born in Bakersfield on June 10, 1948 to Harold and Anna Lorshbough. On June 7, 1969 she married George A. Ewing. They had two children, daughter Kimberly L. Ewing, born 8-19-1971, and son Arthur H.B. Ewing, born 9-12-1972. She had a great love for animals and was also gifted with the ability to teach children. She started breeding Australian Shepherds and Tennessee Walking Horses and was a founding member of CVASC. This provided the opportunity to begin many lifelong friendships. Amnie has now joined her parents, as well as her sister and brother, Georgia and Raymond Pesante, and nieces, Bridget Chambers and Julie Panky, who have predeceased her. She is survived by her husband, George Ewing; her children Kimberly and Melvin Cox, Arthur Ewing, and Kristen Phillips; her grandchildren, Randall, Levi, Jeff and Michael; her brother and his wife, Keith and Nadine Decker; her sister and her husband, Joy and Jerry Eyraud; her sister-in-law, Betty Sharp; her aunts, Opal Stackhouse, Maxine Cox, and Billie Ball; and by countless other family members, including her dog show family, too numerous to mention that meant the world to her. She lives on in Gods name and through each life she has touched. There are no visitation hours scheduled and the arrangements are under the direction of the Erickson and Brown Funeral Home.
