Arthur Loyd Lucas 
Aug. 16, 1922 - Nov. 14, 2005 

Graveside funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2005, at 
10:00 a.m., at Wasco Memorial Park for Arthur Loyd Lucas, age 83, of Wasco and 
Porterville, who passed away on November 14, 2005, in Visalia. Pastor Wayne 
Montgomery of Christ Community Church in Wasco will officiate and interment 
will follow. Arthur Lucas was born August 16, 1922, in Farmersville, CA, the 
son of Kelsey and Mary Lucas. He came to Wasco in 1934 and attended elementary 
and high school in Wasco. He married Beatrice Baker on May 24, 1943, in 
Bakersfield. He was in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He worked for the 
Gas Co., Davies-John Deere/Caterpillar dealer as parts counter man and then 
for Barker Iron Works as parts department manager. He had strong work ethics 
and could repair anything. Art is survived by his son, Loyd Lucas and wife, 
Melissa of Porterville. He was preceded in death by his wife, Susie Beatrice 
Lucas on April 4, 2005.
