Greg was born March 6, 1963 in Bakersfield, California to George and Etta Mae Swank Lynch. He passed away peacefully on January 16, 2006 surrounded by his family after a courageous fight with cancer. Greg is preceded in death by his brother, Sammy Lynch; grandparents W. Orville and Edna Swank and special uncle, Dick Swank. He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Loida Lynch; sons, Adam and Jeremy Lynch; daughter, Amanda Lynch; parents, George and Etta Lynch; brother and sister-in- law, George II and Hilly Lynch; sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Steven deGraaf; special nieces, Chandler and Caycie deGraaf; special nephew, Edvin Lynch and numerous other nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. Greg graduated from East Bakersfield High School in 1981 and he was a member of Coronado Baptist Church. Greg was an avid race fan and some of our best times with Greg were Saturday nights at Mesa Marin Raceway. He also enjoyed fishing, camping (especially at Alder Creek) and playing the slots at Eagle Mountain Casino. Greg recently became interested in coin collecting. Greg loved being with his family and was very proud of each of us. He always had many stories to tell and they were not always short ones as he was a very detailed story teller. He is now at peace in Heaven and will be greatly missed by many friends and especially his family. For additional service information, please contact Basham Funeral Care at 873-8200.
