He was a U.S. Army Air Corp. Veteran of WWII serving in the Philippines and receiving a Purple Heart. He passed away from pneumonia on April 2, 2005 in a local hospital. At his request no services will be held. Rex was a Geo Physicist and employed with Chevron for 30 years. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Connie & Tom Martin; four grandchildren, Dustin Martin and wife Becky, Daniel Martin, Lacy Martin and Lindsey McKay and husband, Chuck; eight great-grandchildren, Zackary, Emily, Derel, Brian and Morgahn Martin, Abigail and Allyson McKay and Kylee Martin; brothers, James David Lacy and Donald M. Lacy; and several nieces and nephews. A special thank you to Dr. Tang, Dr. Ahmed, Dr. Spaeth and the nurses at Mercy Southwest. No visitation is scheduled.
