Elinor Ruth Bell 
Services: Sat., July 9, 10:00 a.m. 

Elinor Ruth Bell (Langdon), 81, was born January 27, 1924, in Racine, WI, and 
she passed away June 15, 2005, in Bakersfield, California. She graduated with 
a degree in Education from the University of Wisconsin and moved to California 
at the age of 24 to begin teaching at Bartlett Elementary School in 
Porterville. She worked as a teacher for thirty years, retiring from Horace 
Mann Elementary in 1985. Elinor contributed to numerous organizations such as 
The NEA, The CTA, The Kern Co. Museum Found., The Friends of Wilson Library, 
The 60+ Club of CSUB, The First Congregational Church, The Calif. Retired 
Teachers Assoc. and The Comm. Concert Assoc. Elinor is remembered by her 
younger sister, Katherine Meissner and brother-in-law, Roy of Merton, WI; her 
sister-in-law, Betty Langdon of Ocala, FL and both of their families. She 
leaves behind her son, Rick Bell and his wife, Joanne and their two sons, Kyle 
and Zach, of Fresno; daughter, Rosemary Morrissey and son, Jack Bell of 
Bakersfield. She is also remembered by grandson, Joe Morrissey and his wife, 
Rebecca of San Jose. Elinor is preceded in death by her younger brother, 
Edward Langdon. She will be fondly thought of by numerous nieces, nephews and 
friends. A memorial service will be held July 9, 2005, at the Mish Funeral 
Home, at 10:00 a.m.
