Rev. Trent Meadors of First Assembly of God will officiate. Mrs. Stewart was born in Eldon, Missouri, on July 15, 1940. She passed away on May 9, 2005. When she was three years old she moved to Taft with her family. She attended Taft schools and married Franklin D. Stewart on January 10, 1959. After a brief move to Huntington Beach, she returned to Taft with her husband and children in 1964. Mrs. Stewart was preceded in death by her mother, Bessie Arnold, her father, Raymond Lee and her sister, Louise Monreal. Mrs. Stewart is survived by her husband, Dee Stewart and her children, Keith Stewart and wife, Kim of Las Vegas, NV, David Stewart and wife, Tara of The Woodlands, Texas; grandchildren, Malia Bowen, Kayla Stewart and Heather Stewart of Las Vegas, NV; sister, Erma Parrent and her husband, Howell Parrent of Taft; sisters-in- law, Lahoma Burton and husband, Paul of Fellows, Jo Stewart of Bakersfield; nephews, John Allen of Boulder City, NV, Greg Allen and Phil Monreal of San Pedro, CA, Michael Parrent of Bakersfield, Randy Griffith and wife, Doretta of Taft; nieces, Dianna McConnachie of Long Beach, CA, Melanie Parrent of Clovis, Chris Brown and her husband, Larry of Taft, Kim Parcells and husband, Tim of Hanford, Becky Ellis and her husband, Bruce of Bakersfield, Torrie Flores of Bakersfield, Melinda Stewart of Santa Barbara and many other relatives. Mrs. Stewart loved having coffee with the girls for a good laugh on a daily basis. She enjoyed gardening and sitting on her patio taking in the good weather. She faithfully attended all of her sons sports activities and an occasional trip to Pismo Beach. Later in life, she enjoyed jaunts to Las Vegas and the Indian casinos. Friends are invited to pay their respects on Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., at the Erickson & Brown Funeral Home.
