Dorothy Kampe Lewis 
Aug. 30, 1926 - June 2, 2005 

Dorothy resided her entire life in Kern County. She was a member of the Kern 
Union High School class of 1945, and was on the reunion committee. She loved 
to talk about growing up in Kern County, especially her high school years. 
Dorothy loved big band music and she loved to dance. She was preceded in death 
by her daughter, Gail Brumfield. She is survived by her son, Scott Brumfield 
and his fiancée, Florence; daughter, Kimberly Bethell and son-in-law, Mike; 
grandsons, Jeffery and his wife, JeAnna, Kenneth Keith, Joshua and Jeremy; 
sister, Elinor; brother-in-law, Junior; niece, Lynn and McKala; and most 
importantly her very best friend, Ricky Periman, who showed our family what 
true friendship is, Thank You. Our family takes comfort in knowing she is 
finally at rest. The family will hold private family service.
