Lohr December 26, 1922-March 23, 2005 Memorial services will be held Tuesday, March 29, at 2 p.m. at the First Congregational Church, 1044 7th Street, Wasco, for Barnard M. Lohr who passed away March 23, in Wasco, at the age of 82 years. Barnard was born December 26, 1922, to Milton and Ruth Lohr in Huntington Beach, California. The family moved to Wasco and Barnard attended Wasco elementary schools and graduated from Wasco High School. He attended USC before being inducted in the service, where he served from 1942 to 1946 as a radar man in the United States Navy. After his service, he returned to USC, but came home to help with the family farm after his father passed away. He married Francis Krause July 18, 1955, and they made Wasco their home. Barnard worked for the US Postal Service, and was a member of the First Congregational Church, Kern Co. Sheriffs Posse, Wasco Masonic Lodge, Wasco Rose Society, and Wasco Historical Society. He is survived by his wife, Francis; sisters-in-law, Jo Fannin and Maria Krause; brother-in-law, Marvin Krause and wife, Evelyn; brother-in-law, Harry Hull; and many loving nieces and nephews.
