Mary Barrera Lopez 
Rosary: Tues., June 14, 7:00 p.m. 
Services: Wed., June 15, 10:30 a.m. 

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 14, 2005, at Hopson-Anspach Family 
Mortuary from 3 to 9 p.m., with recitation of the Holy Rosary, at 7 p.m. Mass 
of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2005, at 10:30 a.m., 
at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church for Mary Barrera Lopez, age 84, of 
Bakersfield, who passed away June 11, in Bakersfield. Interment will follow at 
Union Cemetery. Mary was born February 28, 1921, in Bakersfield, CA, to Jose 
and Mauricia Lopez. She attended Bakersfield schools, and was employed as an 
almond sorter for 21 years. Mary was a very generous and loving person, 
especially towards her grandchidlren. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, and 
spending time with family on holidays and at social gatherings. Mary also 
enjoyed long drives that she would take with her brother-in-law and sister. 
Mary was preceded in death by her mother and father and her stepfather, 
Esteban Zamora; sisters, Sabina Lopez, Lucy Vila, Pauline Contreras, Refugia 
Fuentez. She is survived by son, George Ocampo; daughters, Carmen Villanueva 
and husband, Narcisco Sr., Anita Alvarez; brothers, Herbert and Steven Zamora; 
sister, Helen Barrios; 9 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and close 
family friends, Valarie and Sal.
