Myrtle was born to Walter and Mary (Thomas) Mangold on November 4, 1920 in Mason City, Illinois and went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 5, 2005. Myrtle came to California in 1937 and met her future husband, Kenneth Bachman in Fresno, California. They were married January 16, 1938 and moved to Bakersfield, CA where they raised their family. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church for over fifty years and was very active in the United Methodist Womens Group. She was a volunteer at the Golden Empire Gleaners for ten years. Myrtle moved to Washington in 1998 to live with her granddaughter, Pam and family. She was active in church and the Senior Center. She loved to play Bingo. In 2002 she moved to Evergreen Health Care in Arvin, California. She loved the crafts classes and Bingo and was President of the Residents Council. Myrtle was predeceased by her parents, brother, sister, husband, Kenneth and grandson, Gordon Heavrin. She is survived by a brother, Gene Mangold, Mason City, Illinois and her two daughters, Kathey Baird and Sharon Camp of Bakersfield; grandchildren, Pam Buenaventura (Ricardo), Deborah Long, Scot Flitcraft (Dawn), Paul Heavrin (Sherry), Ronald Heavrin and Tamra Camp; great-grandchildren, Ricky and Cristina Buenaventura, Jillynn Dulcich (Steve), Felicia and Joshua Flitcraft, Brooke Davenport, Emily and Erica Heavrin and Mariah Camp-Flores and great-great-grandson, Zachariah Dulcich. The family wishes to thank the staff at Evergreen for their loving care. Memorial gifts may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, 724 Niles St., Bakersfield, CA 93305.
